Welcome to Yoga Imaging's Thia and Staff page Thia Luby, RYT, Director of Yoga Imaging Thia Luby is the owner and creator of “Yoga Imaging LLC”. She has been a devoted Yoga student and practitioner since 1972. Yoga Imaging emerged from her 27 years background of Iyengar training and combines precise alignment with energy work, incorporating the chakras for healing.
Her unique style emphasizes the
body/mind/spirit connection for a balanced awakening. Each Yoga session is
designed to reach the entire body (from head to toe) for strength and
flexibility to increase energy flow through the nadis. In 2003-2004 she wrote a Yoga column for the Albuquerque Journal newspaper that was widely received. She has been published in many national news resources, including “Highlights for Children”. She has created special
children’s, teens and adult Yoga programs throughout the years and worked in the
mental health field for over 20 years teaching troubled teens and adults the
benefits of Yoga for a healthful change in life. She opened a home studio in Manitou Springs upon arrival in Colorado and continues to teach one class a week there. The Yoga Imaging Studio in Colorado Springs opened in July 2006 and has two large studio spaces that hold classes for children, teens, adults and pre and post natal. She has trained four staff members to teach the children’s program in house and in local daycare and pre-schools. The lobby sells a variety of Yoga products including props, books, jewelry, paintings and other art. The massage room is extremely spacious and inviting. Massages are available by appointment at any time. Come in and experience the difference at the Yoga Imaging studio. The atmosphere is fun and light, yet powerful things happen during class time! In Pre-natal Yoga classes: We practice body awareness. With gentle movements you build on your existing strength. You are able to decide how far to stretch and which positions are comfortable for you and which are not. This already is preparation for labor, where your body will tell you what to do. The more you learn to listen to your body now, the more you can be in tune with yourself during birth. This does not mean that there is one right way of having your baby. Every birth is different! However your approach and your attitude have an important part in making this birth into a fulfilling and empowering experience. Many women who have practiced Yoga during pregnancy have found that it enables them to approach birth with calmness and to experience it as a most profound, life-changing event, in tune with themselves and with life.
