Class Descriptions

Yoga Basics:
This is a slow paced class for beginners to intermediate levels. It is the foundation to build on by learning the composition of the body and structural alignment. One area of the body will be examined at a time to understand how the opposing muscle groups are stretching or contracting. (This class is informative and challenging for the mind and body).
 

Level I:
A Step up from Yoga Basics, this class will introduce the entire body to the wondrous effects of Yoga. Begin to understand the power of the breath to open the body and mind through basic asana work.
 

Level II:
Practice more progressive Yoga poses to build strength and flexibility. Study basic breathing techniques to calm or energize the body and mind. Learn how the breath enhances energy flow through channels in the body (nadis), along with the healing effects of the postures to stimulate glands and organs.
 

Level III:
Rise higher by climbing the ladder to practice more difficult standing balance postures, arm balance postures, back bending and inverted postures.
Continue to practice a wider variety of breathing exercises (pranayama).
 

Vinasana:
 Practice a flowing sequence of asanas. (Each session is a unique blend of asanas).
 

Baby Boomers Strike Back!:
Practice postures that target problem areas for a stronger, more flexible body and for stress reduction.
 

Children’s Yoga:
These classes invite the child to use their imagination and creative minds to visualize what the Yoga posture imitates within the environment. Students will practice postures individually before joining in to group, partner poses and games. (All ages of children from 3-10 can be blended together in these classes).
 

Teen Yoga:
Young adults will learn to build self-esteem and a positive body image while creating a balance of flexibility and strength for the body and mind connection. These Yoga classes will be a preventative measure for sports injuries, growing pains, hormonal changes and a weak or overactive ego. (Ages 11 and up are invited to attend).


Kids Yoga:
These classes run in 6 week sessions. They invite the child to use their imagination and creative minds to visualize what the Yoga posture imitates within the environment. Students will practice postures for physical strength, flexibility, concentration and balance.


Pre & Post Natal Yoga:
This is a great way to stay in shape during and after your pregnancy. The breathing techniques and practice of postures will help you glide through the birthing process. These classes run in six week sessions.

Family Yoga:
You can have fun with your kids practicing innovative yoga poses imitating things in the environment. Stay strong and healthy while bonding with your kids.


Adult Yoga:
Every Yoga Imaging class combines a balanced array of asanas to balance out the entire body in each session. Students may attend different classes at any time. We have over 23 classes offered a week call for times and class package prices.
